Location: Guizhou Province, Tongren City, Yanhe County 贵州省 铜仁市 沿河县
How to get there: One hour by taxi from central Yanhe.
Time needed in the scenic area: a couple of hours.
We visited Bawang Valley in October 2019.
The official website (in Chinese) www.wujianglizhixia.com/ has been down for some time, not sure if it’s permanently or temporarily.
We also traveled through Lizhi Gorge by boat on Wu River deep below Bawang Valley, see this post
Entrance ticket:
Outside Bawang Valley visitor center:
The scenic area is within walking distance from the visitor center.
They started to construct a trail and stairs from the top area down to the water a couple of years ago. But they ran out of money, and the path stops here at the unfinished viewing platform half way down the mountain.
A sightseeing bus picks you up at the end of the walking trail and drives back to the visitor center. This is the end of the road where you get off the bus.
